Hey online ancestry friends! Happy Thursday!
So, I wanted to dive into my niece's family tree because she's little and I'll be able to give it to her someday. I've taken on the quest to research her maternal line (my sister-in-law) because I've worked on my (my brother's) tree already.
Buuuutttt....LOL. She's from the South (US) and so, so far, are her ancestors. And I'm finding it fairly challenging to trace very fair back. It almost seems like things aren't as documented or something. I don't know.
So I guess I'm just curious if it's common to struggle with Southern ancestry research? Or maybe it's just me? LOL. I'm just interested in hearing what you guys have experienced. And to hear any tips or tricks you might have. (I'm not a total beginner, but def would call myself a pro! And we can always learn and grow!).
So anyway, thanks for sharing your experiences, tips, and tricks!
