I just want to point out something that clicked with me after seeing the post about FtM support on GenderCritical.
GenderCritical has never been and probably will never be a place for actually discussing, debating, or working to change society's perception of gender. The community is in actuality based entirely around attacking trans people and trans ideology. The sub denies the validity of self-expression, biology, and psychology that all point to transition being genuine, helpful, and effective.
In reality this group's goal is to police who can and cannot be a woman, based solely off what genitalia a person had when they were a child (because the idea of sex altering surgery is disgusting to them).
A secondary intention they have is to disguise and justify their hate under the label of 'radical feminism'. I personally think that this group seems to have lost any form of humanitarianism and efficacy that the original feminist movement was so abundant in. Instead of fighting for equal rights between people, the endgoal here seems to be... what, disparaging trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer people? Policing identities based off of a person's body?
Clearly, these people aren't actually working towards abolishing gender, creating equality, or allowing for a freedom of expression regardless of gender (some common radical feminist ideas, which would be appropriate for the subreddit name). They seem to be content just invalidating trans people and making generally flawed arguements.
