Hey y’all.
Was having a discussion with some friends about how we discovered our favorite underground musicians and it made me think about how people my age discover music these days, since local radio play and DJ exposure are mostly a thing of the past.
I found out about my current favorite artist, INIKO, because my roommate showed me a Reel of them performing a snippet of one of their songs. I probably would’ve never found out who they were until much later if he didn’t.
One of my friends mentioned how he discovered Ken Carson through a Spotify playlist, I think it was Most Necessary.
How did yours pop up on your radar?
