A Boomer and a Gen Z kid walk into a bar. They trip over the Gen Xer sleeping in the doorway, knocking away the empty malt liquor bottle he’s using as a pillow. They complain to the Millenial bartender with a PhD in sociology, who goes on a rant about how there would be no homeless people if Bernie were president. The Boomer sips his Glenlivet. The Gen Z kid (they/them) sips purified water from the insulated aluminum bottle they brought with them. The Gen Xer rolls over so he can reach the malt liquor bottle. It’s still empty. He tucks it back under his head and shuts his eyes.

That’s it. There’s no punchline. Just an empty feeling.
