Anyone else a little disappointed that the world hasn’t ended yet?

I grew up during the height of the Cold War where mutually assured destruction was assured and imminent. Studied the plague and how at any moment 2/3 of the population could die. Heard stories about the ring of fire and overdue super volcanoes. Still nothing. How long do we have balance on this knife edge? Plus I’m tired of going to work every day so if it’s going to happen can we get it over with? Thoughts?
