Is this guy credible? IDK. He’s an economics professor at what sounds like a regional state college. Make of that what you will. He’s been published in respected journals, his reasoning is interesting, his data sources are credible, his articles don’t seem political (they tend to have the perspective that economically things are actually a little better than the media tells us and everyone thinks - so that’s probably a bit of a center/left bias).
Oh! And he already adjusted the data for inflation!
