Hear me out.
1974 here. And I feel like my high school/college friends and I really took to heart that whole ironic, detached, “everything sucks” vibe that flourished in the 90s. It didn’t help that most of us had low-key snobby tendencies. We had a lot of fun, but maybe we were all depressed? haha 🥺
But so I feel like I’ve never 100% grown out of that, and that it can get in the way of gratitude if I’m not careful. Optimism may or may not be a choice, but it can’t happen without staying open to it, I think.
Anyway, it’s something I’m committed to working on in 2024 and wondered if anyone can somewhat relate.
