I gave my scout a utility belt item, rare frags that deal 75 damage, and went demo spec. She can throw a grenade every turn which allows Blitz to trigger on my other armor piece since grenades apparently don’t count as shots. She’s doing 500-700 AoE damage on thrown grenades every turn. She also has proximity mine for overwatch style explosions. She’s so economic with grenades that emergence holes aren’t a challenge and she can preemptively close them so that the rest of my squad can save their grenades for big boys. Using Blitz, she can cover some intense ground which helps her solo one of the capture locations in capture missions.
Not sure if I got really lucky with the crate system. But I destroyed all of Act 1 on Standard with the build. The only challenge was the Brumak since grenades can’t hit the immulsion tanks.
