Let me start this off by stating I'm massive gears of war fan when it comes to the trilogy. I played Gears 1-3 with thousands of hours but unfortunately didn't enjoy Judgement and didn't really get to GOW4 sadly. Regardless, I find this games multiplayer to be great in gunplay and feels very smooth (playing on pc). However, I have a lot of issues that I want to get across.

(This is all only in regards to versus) Lack of Characters: As someone who is a massive fan, how are you going to make it so we can't play the original Delta Squad members? Where's some of the original locust from the trilogy too? Sure, they say more characters are coming but at what rate and how many? I don't understand why if they wanted to do class types why you couldn't just pick the character you want to play and then apply the skills to said character. It's easy on them and us to do that.

Quick Play: As someone who plays solo, I do not enjoy playing ranked at all especially since Ranked matchmaking is atrocious. However, so is quick play. Why is every match filled with bots and nothing but bots? If there's that many people playing, why can't the game AT LEAST wait until the match is full instead of plugging it with bots. Another major complaint I have is unless you play ranked you can't choose the game mode you want to play. That is incredibly stupid! Custom matches exist sure but they come with the limitations of the host making their own rules. I want to be able to choose the game mode I want without bots also surrounding it. This really shouldn't be as hard as it is but here we are.

Progression/Micro-transactions: I think everyone at this point has stated how awful this games progression is and I couldn't agree more. I can't be on every day and even so, the progression rewards given by the Tour of Duty is horrendous. Remember in Gears 3 when you could earn skins through general play and there was quite a decent amount of them? You also had a huge roster and plenty of progression and rewarding gameplay.

Stats: This isn't huge to me but it is annoying how in one match I went 21-0 (my best game) and I go to my k/d and it actually went down. How is that even possible?

Maps: This to me is one of the biggest problems in the game. How, and I mean how does a game at release which is known for multiplayer only have Seven fucking maps at release? I doubt anyone would complain at seeing any of the maps from gears 1-3 remastered and brought into this one. It'd please old fans big time and please new ones for just having maps in the game period. Granted, I actually really like the new maps BUT to have only seven maps for a game at release is a joke.

Executions: I think everyone who played these games loves these. They are staples to this game so why exactly is there so few of them? Gears 3 had an incredible amount of diversity with theirs. A lot of these are also literally the exact same as past iterations. What is to me the biggest egregious missing execution though is the curb stomp. Curb Stomp practically is the best execution in the series and iconic within it. How can you seriously not include this at all? Wouldn't surprise me at all if these developers add it but of course force you to pay for it.

That's my rant within this games multiplayer. I'll continue you to play it and enjoy it but there's so many glaring issues with it that it drives me nuts. My biggest ones being not able to choose game modes for quickie playlist, bots, and the missing content. So essentially, actually pretty much everything I mentioned.
