Why haven’t we ever had other third person shooters like gears?

There’s not a whole lot third person shooters out there in the first place and even less are as great as gears. The cover system, movement and weapons just make a truly unique experience in the sea of first person shooters and it’s a shame we don’t get more great third person shooters.
