It's been two years since you left us you still bring a smile to my face, a laugh, and tears when I'm having a Mellon collie day. I think about you every day and I'm sure I always will. I miss you terribly and likely always will. Today would have been your 40th birthday and I'm a little pissed that I was robbed of giving you hell about being 40. I miss you in the big moments and the most insignificant and mundane as well. I think about that stupid song we made up about you doing your lady chores while I was working. I miss taking care of you and waking up next to you. Every time I see a crape myrtle I think of you because they are, as you said, blooming for your birthday.
