I live in rural West Virginia where I taught music in the county public schools for 35 years. I have felt out of place my whole life, but circumstances kept me here in West Virginia, the Mountain State. At this point in my life I own my house, I am not prepared to move out of state nor am I looking for a housemate. The typical man in the state is into outdoors activities and team sports. Whereas I enjoy Culture events such as symphony concerts, opera, ballet, Broadway musicals and plays, historical sites such as battlefields, forts, restored towns (ex. Colonial Williamsburg), touring 19th century houses, visiting a variety of museums, galleries, conservatories, photographing cemetery art in Victorian Museums and playing classical music in small ensembles with friends on a regular basis. This is who I am. I am seeking LOCAL AREA MEN in or near North Central West Virginia (gay or straight) for friendship and possibly a relationship, who enjoy one or more of my interests. A man who lives relatively close to Elkins, WV. A friendship needs mutual interests and concerns to thrive. We all have life's daily challenge to face that can also cement a friendship. Having a companion (20-40s) who is an excellent driver who can navigate larger cities with little to no problems would be great since I hesitate to explore places such as Boston, Philadelphia, Savannah and Charleston, SC. on my own.
