AITA?
Post Body

me and this guy have been friends for like 7 months now and we have been pretty sclose. we dont hang out a lot because of our schedules but we talk a lot and share a lot with eachother. I like him and he's bi and has called me attractive. To try and flirt I tease him. With most people I'm pretty harsh with (in a joking way) and he's no exception. We both make fun of eachother for the others family issues and today he seemed down and I js started talking to him. He was really stressed and after he finished talking and he started making light jokes at me. He said that next to "him I was failing school" I have better grades than him and we both know but he is graduating a year earlier than normal because of advancement in his old school but it was by no means knowledge based (he almost failed the class) and it was only because he was able to take it (last year I was not mentally well and most likely would have offed myself if I took the classes) and we both know my state didn't allow me to. This kinda pissed me off so without thinking I told him "at least my father died, your's chose to leave you" he had made jokes at my father and I had made them to him. He then started berating me with insults that were way to personal and some of which he knew I didn't want to share. He then ignored everyone for the rest of the period. Is it my fault or was he in the wrong?
