Cleaning up and having my first time soon and need advice

Is there any single best way to clean before hand? I have read a bunch of stuff in douching and what not and sort of know what foods to before and what not and what not but I was also wondering if using laxatives as an alternative to as a more effective method paired with douching? Or is there another method that works even better? I just don’t need something mortifying to happen my first is all. If I’m over thinking this lmk! Thanks to anyone who can help me with this, yall are the best!
