It gets very. Very. VERY. Boring on a space station orbiting a distant star for purely scientific reasons. You don't get any form of entertainment other than what you brought with you and what you can order on the resupply ships, and there's only so many times you can read the same book. It's no surprise that many relationships get their start on these small missions to measure minutia of stars on the edge of space. The only surprise is how willing people are to interact with their alien crewmates after the first few weeks of isolation from their own species...

I want to play out a scene between two aliens! Ideally, it would start as a slow burn and eventually turn into something more but I'm more than happy to get right to the business of inter-species contact!
