Living as a royal bastard is a pretty cushy life--for you, at least. Your kingly father made sure you and your mother lived luxuriously in his palace and received everything you wanted: exotic delicacies, the latest fashions, and opulent manors in the countryside. You believed there was nothing for you to fear...

And then your father died. It was so sudden; he choked on a chicken bone during dinner and keeled over. While the royal physicians run a battery of tests to make sure he didn't die from more nefarious means, you and your fellow bastards are eagerly awaiting your inheritance. But there's yet another conundrum...

While your father had many bastards, he never produced a legitimate heir with his Queen. And his death was so sudden, he never designated an heir in his will. During the interregnum, his chancellors have set up a provisionary council to take care of the kingdom until they can assign an heir.

But the provisionary council has announced that the first bastard to get pregnant will be named the heir. This has started a race among the bastards to get pregnant as soon as possible. They will drop their trousers for the lowest servants if they think they can get pregnant. They invite guesting nobles to knock them up, no strings attached. There's a breeding frenzy around the palace, and you're all in.

I have a few characters for you to choose from: Roland, an archer in the royal guard; Dara, an opera singer sponsored by the crown; and Viscaria, the palace apothecarist. Please have good grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and write in third person PoV.
