Hi there. So I’m not really sure what I’m looking for right now, so bear with me please!

Anyway, a bit about me: I’m 38, 5’11”, Mexican-American, on the heavy side, gay as the day is long. I’m a teacher and nerd who plays lots of video games and reads. I love to go out to the movies or to Disneyland, or just stay home and veg out on some show or movie.

I’m married to a wonderful NB person and we’ve been together a little over a decade, married for 4 years. About a year before we got married, we decided to open up our relationship (my husband’s insistence, I swear!) since we have very different libidos. It’s been nice to fool around with people off and on over the years, but I’d much rather have something more substantial. More like a best friend with benefits type of situation, maybe?

My best friend is poly and has been in a couple of different long-term poly relationships. In fact, he and his wife are just now moving to Colorado with one of their girlfriends (I’m not sure who’s girlfriend she is to be honest). He and I have talked at length before about his poly relationships, and he knows all about my relationship and the open agreement my husband and I have. He suggested to me that maybe finding a poly relationship would be more suitable to my needs.

I really have no experience being romantically involved with more than one person at a time, but I’m not opposed to the idea. I’ve spoken to my husband about it as well, and they’ve also given me the green light to pursue whatever interests I have. I’d be curious to see if this is something I can find and make work.

At least for now, I’d love to find someone in the Los Angeles area who’d want to talk about their experiences being in a poly relationship. Maybe we could meet for coffee or dinner and chat?
