Hi! So I have been wanting to meet more gay people who tolerate non-liberals and someone here mentioned LCR. I looked them up. Found a local chapter. They have Wine Wednesdays. It was so nice to be able to speak my mind, exchange ideas, hear people laugh, and people agreed and disagreed and had epiphanies! Mostly men, some women, all ages. I'd guess mostly 30s-40s. People talked to everyone. I was very happy that a place like this exists. I almost couldn't believe it. We are NOT alone and we should not be made to feel lesser because others will be intolerant of us. It was a learning experience and it was entertaining. There were drinks and food too. I believe other events have authors and campaign events. It's cool to meet people in person that make you feel like an equal. I've been online less and my mood has improved. Please don't doubt yourself and if you know of any other groups, please share! We all definitely need this positivity.
