This sub is the reason why I am where and I am today and God led me here in faith and gave me a new life, a new chapter and a new beginning.
I’ve known pride since I was 18. I wasn’t able to fully celebrate it because of obvious internal homophobia but I secretly was happy about those who felt liberated and celebrated their sexuality this month back in the day.
Now here I am fully embracing myself as a gay man and have this faith that God in His rightful time gave me the ability to celebrate this month like I should.
So whether you’re out already in a more progressed phase than I am or whether you’re still in the closet maybe trying to come out to yourself just like I did last year, I hope this month bring you joy and freedom and all the happiness within you for who you are.
Go to a fancy restaurant this weekend or make yourself a great meal, have a drink, treat yourself and celebrate who you are!
This is my first pride month since I came out to myself and even though I don’t have any friends or accepting family around to celebrate with, I’m gonna treat myself with all the goodness this weekend and celebrate.
Thank you so much wonderful people of r/GayChristians
I love you all and God bless you all ❤️
