Gastric emptying test
Post Body

Currently I've been vomiting for over 2 months and can't keep any food down, my GI did an endoscopy and it showed mild irritation and gastritis. He then has ordered me to do a gastric emptying study & a Hida scan. I currently take zofran and Pantropozle but neither have helped with vomiting..I scheduled my emptying test but they told me I would have to eat eggs etc, if I can't keep food down how am I supposed to do the test and not vomit? I'm uninsured so I'm paying out of pocket..has anyone had this experience and and had to retake the test? If so do you have to pay again? Also did anyone do the Hida test? How bad is that? Thank you in advance for anyone that replies
