Do GES results vary when in flare/not flaring?

I know symptoms definitely come and go in flares. But I've also heard that GES results don't equal the severity of your symptoms. Will my GES results come back more normal if I take the test when I'm not flaring?
This is just out of curiosity. I've got a GES scheduled in less than a week. I'm nervous but eager to have some answers!
