I’ve been on an almost entirely liquid diet for a few weeks now. It’s allowed me to double my caloric intake which is really exciting for me. And, it has really helped reduce pain and nausea, increasing my quality of life!
But my brain still signals me that I’m starving and I need to eat. It did that back when I was eating just a couple crackers a day. But back then I had more pain and nausea which was preventing me from eating. Now the only thing between me and food is my own self control. And it’s so hard! If I’m going to eat, I wish I could make it something semi-tolerable at least, but obviously cravings don’t work like that. It always ends up being whatever crap my family is eating. Yesterday, I gave in and ate a taco. Man it was delicious! But now I’m seriously regretting that.
Sometimes it’s something like a BBQ chip the size of a cheerio, and that alone puts me in pain for a whole day.
Does anyone have any advice on how to not constantly feel hungry? Or how to resist cravings? Or maybe just some ideas on foods to eat on a diet like this? I’m sick of nutrition shakes and broth.
