Metoclopramide Side Effects
Post Body

Well first off, I don't know if I have Gastroparesis. Never really had any digestive issues until my appendectomy 2 weeks ago. I read that digestive issues can occur after getting abdominal surgery but idk.

2 days ago I was at the hospital due to what I presumed were gas pains and acid reflux. They did the works, blood labs, x rays, ct scan because my white count was high. Doctors said everything looked good but I looked a little backed up and they thought that my system might still be recovering from surgery. So they sent me home with prescriptions for an ant acid, laxatives, and metoclopramide.

First day and night with it was fine. Pooping more which is good. Time for sleep. I was a little restless but wasn't too concerned. Sleep is too important. Yesterday everything was fine until night time. I felt more restlessness, felt like my leg muscles were a little tight and I was having some muscle spasms. Was able to go to sleep but I feel like I woke up 3 hours after falling asleep due to a sudden back arch. Like almost a muscle cramp that made me arch. Ever since then I haven't been able to sleep. The restlessness is nerve wracking and I'm sure is adding to my anxiety which leads to more restlessness/muscle twitching or spasms.

Anyone else experience these side effects? Should I stop taking the metoclopramide? Most of these issues showed up on the side effects list and while it is helping my stomach I'm scared to take it anymore.
