Has anyone had gastritis triggered by an injury ?
Two weeks ago while doing dumbbell bent over rows, I felt a pop in my rib/intercostal muscles on my left side.
The next day is when I had my first ever bout of gastritis. I never put the two and two together.
I took a week off the gym and tackled my bland diet head on. After about a week I was adding in different foods and not getting triggered. Coffee was the only thing that slightly triggered me so I stopped drinking that after I had tried one cup.
Then last week (about ten days after the first incident) I went to the gym feeling good, I didn’t do any of the exercises I had done that caused the injury.
But while performing a machine assisted row I felt the same twinge in my ribs again, and surely that night I had the gastritis again.
I’ve stayed away from the gym since and just been going on long walks, I’ve been able to eat normal food again I had kfc yesterday with no trigger and Dunkin donuts today with no trigger.
I’m currently in Thailand so I’m not too keen on going to the doctor to find the injury but I will be going straight when I get home next week.
Has anyone else triggered gastritis due to an injury and does this sound probable?
Cheers
