Last year I got my first bout of gastritis and followed the notorious healing gastritis book strictly for 3-4M and then started to kind of live a little. I reintroduced coffee at home and it was mostly ok. I had other gut healing to do from other things that I'm still working on and seeing much improvement. But I experienced a lot of loss end of 2023 and major stress caused a bad flare up again so I've been doing what works for me. During this time, I've been super strict still. Its been 3M and I wanted to try iced coffee a month ago and before I finished my cup I was nauseous an sick. Fast forward to now (2 days ago) and I wanted to try again- so I had a small iced coffee after breakfast/ with food. It seemed fine--I sipped it slowly over like 4 hours. I thought I was in the clear and then boom about 4-6 hours later I was super sick and nauseous again. I was so bummed. Wondering if it's a positive because it took longer for me to feel ill or? Also I'm about to start my menstrual cycle, so that obviously affects symptoms. Just wondering if anyone can pretty much eat anything, just not coffee.
TLDR; Can anyone eat basically anything, just no coffee? Or do we think I can try again in a couple of months. I'm missing my coffee so bad.
Iβve been dealing with this for about 3 months now on top of being 9 months postpartum and still recovery from 2 surgeries. Itβs miserable. I drank coffee today from Starbucks at work and Iβve been having diarrhea and feeling feverish. I guess no more coffee for me π

I feel like sometimes certain meats like chicken and I eat fast food too much π that does it for me. But generally the first meal I have is the worst. The second one is better. Also I like to drink sometime but realized alcohol is a no no π
