Hi everyone, if my CA-72 tumor marker is 11.8 is that a very worrying sign? I’ve had an endoscopy (I think upper endoscopy) because I wanted to check to make sure everything was okay. My primary care physician didn’t suggest it. I asked if I could have one since my CA-72 level 1.5 years ago was also high. I asked the hospital doctor who performed the endoscopy twice if there’s any cancer and he also took biopsy and he said no cancer and only small gastritis. That was 1.5 years ago.
A week ago I decided to take an extensive blood test similar to 1.5 years ago (my primary care physician didn’t suggest this). I decided to take them just to have since I didn’t take blood tests in the past year and I noticed my CA-72 level again tested high at 11.8. I want to assume it’s high from either the gastritis the doctor who performed the endoscopy 1.5 years ago mentioned or maybe it’s SIBO (which I think I have)
My question is if there’s anyway to make sure that I don’t have gastritis cancer or stomach cancer ? Is there any test I can do?
My symptoms are very low appetite, getting bloated even if I eat very little. Anything I eat bloats me in the morning whether it is just plain oatmeal or only small piece of lettuce and it lasts the whole day. I sometimes get stabbing pain on my stomach especially when I eat dairy and meat. I also have inner burps only sometimes where the burp doesn’t come all the way out but makes a sound in my throat . For example this occurred 2 weeks ago for 3-4 days straight but then stopped and hasn’t come back since. This has happened like once every 3-4 months usually
All the advice I’m given will be highly appreciated . Thank you in advance everyone
