Build or Buy GHK?

Not sure if repost so forgive me if it is.
So I want to expand my airsoft collection and that means getting at least One GHK M4 at some point. But im conflicted as to If I want to buy the MK18 unit as a starting platform and change stuff out. or if it's worth it to build the whole upper/lower with stock/upgrade parts. im pretty intermediate when it comes to tinkering and assembling and the whole buying it bit by bit over a period of time sounds like a pretty sweet deal. What do you guys think?
