I’m currently rocking a series 1 AW and it has seen better days. My daughter and I have started hiking and I have zero sense of direction. Instead of constantly oulling out my phone I would like mapping on my wrist that I can glance at. I have researched the Fenix line and competitors until I’m tired of thinking about it anymore.

I thought I had settled on a 5x Pro refurb until I happened to stop at REI today and actually get to try the 6 and the 6X on...and yeah I think the non-X is more my thing. No big deal because I can get a brand new 5 Sapphire DLC for $330. Except I read about the 5 having battery issues. I tried researching it but was only finding one off accounts that seemed to be a widget or a setting that was causing it. So I don’t know if there was an across the board issue with them or not.

I do plan on possibly getting the if it is worth upgrading to, but I don’t know if the 6 is worth the upgrade over such a cheap 5 ...as long as that model doesn’t have issues.
