Hi all I have a Garmin Fenix 6x Pro, just over 2 years old. Recently the battery life has suddenly crashed significantly. I have updated software and restarted but no significant difference, the battery suddenly lasts just a couple of days instead of a weekā¦.
I am going on an off-grid bikepacking adventure in 3 weeks, and ideally I would track gps & heart rate of my cycling components (long days) but I am self supported so weight is an issue and Iām worried about battery pack weight.
Are these my options? Any thoughts: 1. Use battery saving features - but does that mean limited gps tracking and/or no heart rate etc? 2. Carry an extra battery pack on my adventure 3. Buy a new 7x (currently on sale ahead of the new Model 8 being released ā¦ but I donāt really want to spend the $) 4. Use a non-authorized replacement battery (will I lose waterproofing?) 5. Contact Garmin re replacement of the 6x at a ādiscountā price
