I've covered 20 km while sitting at home

I am new at Garmin, my model is Garmin Instinct 2. I've noticed that he counted me 20 km distance when I did not leave the house at all. Yesterday I walked about 8 kilometers, Google Fit counted correctly, but Garmin counted 11. What could be causing this?
PS. Also battery drained fast. Could it be that I had launched some activity in the background without knowing it?
