Hello,
I am a completely new runner. I've been on a weight loss journey for some time now and have hit my stride and feel comfortable starting to run. I'm 31 years old, 5'10 and approximately 295 pounds. I'm down 15 pounds over the past month. My first 5k is scheduled in the next 16 weeks. I was doing the Galloway 5k coach plan to hit a goal of under 32 minutes but honestly I don't really like it because of the number of drill workouts and very little just go out and run workouts. I heard the DSW are superior to the coach plans and wanted to try it out. I have a forerunner 255 and it has almost 2 weeks of data on me including my weight, VO2 max, sleep data, etc... Are DSW workouts amenable to a complete beginner with my build. Will it take into account my BMI? I just don't want to do anything that is too much for me and lead to injury. Thank you for your help.
