Hiii everyone!!

So this will be a bit of a longer post, but I will try to be as detailed and short as possible.

First off, this is my first time owning any reptile, and I decided I want a gargoyle gecko.

Now My biggest ‘problem’ is with the terrarium and the way I wanna keep them and there are SO many things I need to look up I get lost😂 I really want to do a bioactive terrarium for my gecko.

Is it true that there will be little insects escaping the terrarium? Cause I wanna keep the terrarium in my bedroom and I prefer not to have isopods or other insects in my bed while I’m trying to sleep, and my wife will scream at me if that happens😂

Now with the terrarium itself I have some questions aswell, cause I would love to have something like this just to make sure I always have everything set perfect when it comes to humidity and temperature, https://exo-terra.com/products/heating/thermostats/thermostat-hygrostat-600w/

My only question is is that the way to keep the humidity up with this device is to use the exo terra humidifying fog generator, but from what I have read a gargoyle gecko needs an actual misting system or manual misting to prevent my gecko from drying up. And the fog system won’t do that, it only keeps my humidity up. Right????

The reason I want to use these types of devices that do everything automatically is so that when I go on a vacation I’m not to worried about my gecko or my entire bioactive terrarium dying ( I have my parents who can come in and feed my gecko and give them fresh water ).

Plz help me with this since I’m really unsure and a lot of websites say different things!!
