Plum pruning tips
Post Body

I've inherited this wonderful big plum tree. I'm going to prune it after the fruit drops to reduce the height and take out lots of the water shoots. I've noticed that the lower branches don't get much fruit, it's mostly up top. If I prune it as described will the fruit on lower branches grow more vigorously next year? Is there anything else I can do to encourage healthy fruiting lower down? Thanks.
