How can I kill this large plant effectively? I have a wide, tiered garden & between the first & second level thereās a large rockery, the main feature being these 2 huge plants. Too huge.
Iāve not long moved in & last summer I only had chance to cut them right back before winter kicked in, it really opened up the garden & gave the back of the house more light. I hoped they wouldnāt live through winter. However they started to immediately grow back with a vengeance & theyāre nearly as big as they were originally when I moved in. Digging out would be difficult as access is awkward. The one in the photo I could potentially access from the steps but the other is very difficult as itās in the āmiddleā of the rockery.
Iāve started the garden clean up, beginning to think about how I want my new garden & these need to go. So overpowering.
Is there a magical homemade formula that kills off plants? I do have a cat, so thatās something I need to consider, too.
Thank you in advance!
I had one which was mostly dried out. Absolutely hate these plants, just personal preference. Small volume of petrol and a match got rid of most of it. Then judge out with a spade
