Post Body

Reddit brainstrust; Here is my situation, I decided to turn the backyard into a no now Australian native garden.

Removed about 10cm of grass and soil (replaced with reasonably good quality soil.

Covered with multiple layers of newspaper (so much newspaper..)

Weedmat entire backyard.

Another 10cm of organic mix (40% screened soil, 60% composted bark fines)

Finally loads and loads of rural fines mulch.

Tonnes of Kangaroo paw, various rushes, a lovely Banksia Aquilonia, a Hakea and a Lemon Myrtle.

Now that you are up to speed...

I'm getting grass sprouts pushing through the newspaper?weedmat and mulch - short of getting on my knees and going one-by-one, any ideas of getting rid of these?
