Reinforcing Strut Interference
Post Body

I recently got a new vehicle and it fits snuggly in the garage to the point that the reinforcing strut that runs across the bottom panel would scrape the bumper if the door was closed. I imagine this bar serves the purpose of keeping the panels from buckling and cannot be removed. But is it possible to relocate it to the panel above or would that create issues? If moved to the next panel up, it would place it high enough that it would not interfere with the bumper.

Currently there is a strut across the bottom panel and a strut across the top panel, but nothing in-between. Looks like it's just fastened with self tapping bolts that I could easily remove and reuse in another location.

It’s fine to move it. It will literally change nothing
