top of garage is still a bit open, cannot adjust the force any further, any guidance?

On low headroom doors you can’t put the strut on first.. the top fixture needs to be put on with door against header. The roller will be above the section. Then when you know the door/top fixture are in correct spot to seal agains jambs, you add strut. The strut should be up to the roller
