So, I've had a weird setup.
I've been playing my xbox, while being on Discord on PC.
The main reason for this is because my Steelseries Arctis Pro does not in fact allow game chat to work with Xbox. My Xbox is also physically further away, so I can't USB jack in. That is all besides the point.
I had a Laptop until recently, and I could easily use my headset with my laptop, and plug the second "Chat" 3.5mm audio jack into my Xbox Controller. This would allow me to functionally be listening to game audio and be on my Laptop Discord at the same time.
For some reason, with my new Windows Desktop, when I do the exact same thing, the game audio coming out of my controller is super low quality. It's muffled, almost sounds mono or worse, and makes games unplayable.
When I rip out the USB powering the headset, Xbox sound returns to normal. When I plug it in, it gets messed up.
Does anyone know what PC settings or anything I could potentially change to clear up the Xbox audio? This is a weird issue, and one that did not happen with my previous computer. I have no idea how to even ask this question, as it is very specific.
Thanks!
