So I initially bought this laptop after almost a year of searching for the perfect laptop. While battery wasn't a huge concern (I know gaming laptops aren't the best for this) there are times when I do take my programming on the go and all the reviews for this laptop said you should be able to get 4-5 hours of light usage. However at this point I have run through 5 charge cycles and each time I am lucky to get even 1.5 hours with little to no usage at all!

I am trying to determine if this is expected or if I have some kind of a defective battery. I contacted asus support and their first suggestion is to factory wipe it, when I literally just spent the last 2 days setting up everything I need for work so I really don't want to do that and I fail to see how that would fix a battery issue when I literally just received it factory reset. Then their next option is to ship it back which is also obviously not preferred as I live in Canada and purchased through gentech.

So I am just wondering others people's experience with this battery. Is this expected, or could I have something defective?
