I recently put up a poll in this sub to possibly help me finally decide which laptop to get. Basically there were two options: The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (R7 5800H, RTX 3070, QHD) and the Asus Strix G17 (R9 5900HX, RTX 3070, FHD); and the votes were 131:85 with the Legion 5 Pro being the winner.

Here is my dilemma, I have seen some posts also in this sub that points out the problem/s that the Legion 5 Pro has, specifically the thermals and cooling of the laptop. So I think you can see where the confusion lies.

I have also seen that on the Strix G17, it has optimus which hurts the performance(?). I don’t know by how much.

Is there anyone who can give an UNBIASED opinion between the two laptops? Will the cooling on the Legion 5 Pro be a problem in the long run? Is the cooling on this laptop the only problem and could I take some steps to solve it? I know little about these types of things so it would be appreciated if you could help me out.
