I recently watched GizmoSlipTech’s video on the Asus Strix G17 (RTX 3070, Ryzen 9 5900HX) and I have seen some good performance coming out of this laptop.

I also have a dilemma choosing between the new Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and the Strix G17. Now coming from PS4 console I have been fine with 1080p resolution but seeing that Lenovo is releasing some laptops with QHD displays I am kind of tempted to choose Lenovo over Asus. Bear in mind that the Legion 5 Pro only has up to Ryzen 7. Is it worth to sacrifice some performance for a better display? Will I even notice a massive difference between resolutions?

My main use for the laptop is for gaming (obviously), college and streaming (from time to time).

I assume that my laptop can also output QHD provided that I use an external monitor that supports it? (Correct me if I am wrong on this)
