Update: Help! Looking for a Gaming Laptop!

Post Body

Hi! After doing tons of research and lurking on this sub, I still need some recommendations on a laptop to play the Sims and store all my expansion packs, plus whatever I may buy in the future, Fortnite, and any other games I might want to begin playing. Basically, I want room for the games and I play now and any other games I may play in the future, as I am a beginner with Gaming. Ideally I'd have this for the next several years. I am new to the gaming laptop world, so please excuse any incorrect statements I may make.

My budget is $1200 and under, but I'm willing to pay a little more for quality and storage. I've been looking for laptops with 32GB Ram and 1TB SSD (is 16GB enough?). Is this ok? Too much? Not enough? I'd also like a laptop with a number pad on the right hand side and the RGB lights (pretty colors lol!). Should I also consider a laptop where I can add more physical storage in the future (could I do that with an SD card?)?

I've been looking at these options:

  • ASUS Tuf
  • Legion (too much power for my needs?)
  • HP Victus
  • Thoughts on Dell Alienware?

I would also like advice on selecting a laptop with NVIDIA or Ryzen.

Thank you!
