Recently bought: HP Victus - Good Deal?

I was looking to buy a gaming laptop, and got this one from newegg on a recommendation from a friend. My hope is to have this replace my 10 year old gaming desktop, gain some portability, and still have a way to connect this to my TV when Iām home.
What do you all think? Does this look like a good deal for the money? Do the specs measure up well? Does anyone have any experience with the reliability of this brand/model?
