Hey guys!

2014 has been an awesome year, not only for gaming but for our subreddit as well! However, we want 2015 to blow 2014 right out of the water, so we have a LOT of updates planned for the new year!

I won't go into detail about ALL the changes, but a big one is the appearance of the subreddit. We will be updating a lot of visual elements to make the subreddit cleaner and better looking, and one of the areas we want to change is the header. This is where you guys come in.

In short, we think it's time for a new header, and we want you guys to design it! The parameters are pretty simple:

• The header should be 1486 x 220px in size, and in either .png or .jpg format.

• The header should have a general gaming theme (i.e. not just 1 specific game/series). A collage of different games and characters is also perfectly fine.

• The header shouldn't contain any G4G-related text or logos (we'll take care of those). The goal is to simply design a background.

• We also recommend that you keep it fairly simple. A good point of reference would be the background of the header over at /r/DCComics.

• Submissions are limited to 1 per user, but you can change your submission as many times as you'd like before the deadline by editing your original comment.

Those are the only guidelines about the header, so feel free to get creative! To submit your entry, simply leave it as a comment on this post. Please keep in mind that we will be having a separate poll at the end of the contest, so upvotes don't count as official votes. But don't let that discourage you from complimenting one another's work!

But wait, I'm not finished! We haven't talked about the prize yet. The winner of the contest will not only get to have their header be used as the official subreddit header, but they will also receive a $25 Amazon gift card code.

The contest ends on Saturday, December 27th, 2014 at 11:59pm GMT, and the poll will be open from then until the end of the year. The winner will be announced on January 1st, 2015 along with many other updates and announcements.
