Hi /r/Games. I'm doing a radio show [KFAI Minneapolis] where I'll be playing music from indie game soundtracks. I find that music in independently made games tends to be a lot more daring and experimental than music used in big budget titles, much like the games themselves. Instead of dramatic arranged scores, indie games tend to have a more unique sound such as the mix of familiar and exotic in Darren Korb's compositions for Bastion or Jim Guthrie's funky jams for Sword and Sworcery EP.
So reddit, help me brainstorm ideas for my show. What indie game soundtracks do you love? Here's what I have on my shortlist so far:
Bastion
World of Goo
Super Meat Boy/Binding of Isaac/Danny Baranowsky is awesome
Sword and Sworcery EP
Minecraft
Cave Story
VVVVVV
TL;DR doing a radio show on indie game soundtracks, what's your fav?
