GoG will now be releasing newer games. For the same games released on both Steam and GoG, where will you get them?
Post Body

I've used Steam and GoG each for what they do best, but now that they're starting to overlap, I find myself with a choice and no clear answer.

On one hand, I feel Steam is a lot more convenient, has better prices during deals, and has the socializing aspect ( not to mention the Steam overlay Non-Steam games can be launched through Steam to get the overlay. Point is moot).

If a game has use of the Steam workshop, even better. It's almost a no-brainer... almost.

GoG, and this is a big one, is DRM-free. Unlike Steam, you're not licensing the games. Once you purchase and download the game, you can play it in true offline that works 100% of the time and if your GoG account is terminated or banned for whatever reason, your games don't go with it.

I think it's every gamer's nightmare to just lose all their Steam games after having fully paid for them (and invested hundreds of hours in them- at least the ones they've played.)

Also, GoG always has extra goodies like game manuals, wallpapers, maps, soundtracks, etc. with almost every game.

Last but not least, it's worth mentioning GoG is more underdeveloped than Steam. With enough time and resources, we might see some similar perks that Steam offers.

So having the same games on both services, where will you buy them? Will you stick with Steam or switch to DRM-free GoG in a heartbeat?

(I realize these are very general comparison points and I've probably missed a bunch so feel free to add more in the comments).

EDIT: An added comparison point: While Steam seems to have better deals when it comes to US pricing, GoG does have one flat price worldwide for each game. While this doesn't work out well for some territories, I think it's a huge plus for the EU and Australia.
