Titanfall was massively hyped for a multitude of reasons, all of which likely clouded objective judgment on Day 1, I think. Given that the game has been out almost two months (with its first DLC on the way), I'd love to get people's opinions on the game's quality and depth when the hype-colored glasses are removed.
Some questions to facilitate discussion:
Is there enough content and depth of gameplay to justify the $60 price tag?
Was designing a multiplayer-only approach successful? Was the "campaign" enjoyable for you, and did you feel like there was a legitimate story and universe?
Are you recommending the game to friends? At full price?
Will you be purchasing the DLC (at full price)? Do you think the Season Pass is worth the cost?
Would you buy a sequel at full price?
EDIT: Some additional questions:
How does the game's multiplayer scene compare to Call of Duty? What does it do better? Where does it fail?
Do you think Titanfall will eclipse Call of Duty's market penetration?
But then people would complain about Titans being unbalanced. The whole point of Titans is that they are as much of a choice as anything else in the game. Using one isn't an advantage, it is just different.
Having a cookie isn't bad, I am just saying not having said cookie also isn't bad.
Honestly when people complain about stuff like that it just sounds petty. To me the greatest reward in any video game is getting better, and my KTD is going to tell me all I need to know about that.
Maybe for people at the top, but really the majority of Halo DM was just running around killing the enemy.
Since there are only six players that can capture a point on each team, you pretty much have to constantly maneuver between the three points to reinforce them. It forces you to find the fastest possible route between those three points. And of course you can always circle them to wrack up kills to speed up your Titanfall or to control the area to prevent a cap.
Am I the only person who doesn't give a shit about getting something? My reward is killing people and playing better, not unlocking stupid bullshit. I'd rather every single weapon and item be unlocked from the start.
But the main mode of Titanfall is hardpoint, and it also of course has CTF.

And the fact you just kicked ass. Are we all so shallow we need to be given a cookie every time we do well?
