Heya. I see here, sometimes, humbly-knit groups of friends looking for a 1, so I'm hoping to get lucky with something of the sort, or just to play something with another wanderer. I've been feeling somewhat lonesome and unbusied in the evenings and my old groups have rusted or entirely dissolved in time.
As this is (honestly, the horribly named) gamerpals, I should list some games that I love and will be happy to play. I pop into Guild Wars 2 every once in a while but not overly much. I've always loved Counter-Strike, and played and enjoyed a little bit of Valorant also (not particularly good at either, just average-ish). Path of Exile is a big favorite, but right now I'm just waiting on PoE2. Generally quite enthusiastic about MMOs and competitive multiplayer games, though RPGs are a big draw as well. I do not own any consoles, just PC.
A little about me, too. I'm in my thirties. I've had a fairly colourful life, but the dopamine-binge of games and internet media has been a constant. I am also a student of poetry and literature, and try to spend at least as much time reading as being in complete leisure. I also write a lot. My favorite books are Bring Up the Bodies and Les Miserables. I generally dislike reddit, but have occasion to post and ramble on some niche and smaller, hobby-related forums.
Ideally, I am looking for friends of a similar age. Please do not be more than some few years younger. A similar worldview is important, too, and for that I am hoping for LGBTQ affirming and generally progressive friends. I will not ever join any mass-recruit discord servers. Hopefully you do not find my style of writing too pretentious. I go easier with people I know better. Anyway, if you find my post appealing, please feel free to write.
