Problems connecting controller to PC

Hi! I recently discovered Dolphin and have been playing my childhood favourite MarioParty 7 quite a bit since. I bought a Y Team GC Controllers adapter off Amazon (Amazon Link). I found tutorial online saying I needed to use Zadig to change the USB drivers to WinUSB.

On the back of the adapter is a switch to toggle between "PC" and "Switch/WiiU" mode. Dolphin does not recognize an adapter when I have the toggle on "PC", but does recognize an adapter on "Switch/WiiU" mode. However, none of my original controllers do anything. No buttons or sticks work. I've plugged them into my original GameCube system and they work perfectly fine.

Any thoughts on issues?

I'm running the latest stable version of Dolphin on an HP Elitebook (Windows 10).
