So I recently purchased Wind Waker at a gaming convention/festival for a great price. It wasn't in original case or with manual so I figured that factored into the price. It was a little scratched up but I had bought another game with worse scratching and it worked fine so I figured I would have no worries.

I get home, throw it in my gamecube and makes unusual sounds as it attempts to read the disc and gives me an error (the common one about shutting off the system and checking the manual). I tried it in my Wii, same issue.

I looked closer and found a silver reflective ring in the middle, not factory original. Perhaps that's the issue?
